There are multiple websites to search national scholarships, such as FastWeb.com and BigFuture.com. This list focuses on scholarships available to students graduating from Idaho High Schools, planning to attend an Idaho college or university (or regional institutions), local services clubs, etc. More will be added as we receive information.

United States JCI Senate $1,000 Jan Idaho Junior Chamber International Senate Foundation Scholarship - for graduating high school seniors in the United States, who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools and are United States citizens.

Kootenai Electric Cooperative $2,000 Feb $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to Kootenai Electric Cooperative members or their children who are either seniors in high school or currently enrolled in college or an accredited trade or technical institution for the fall of 2018 or spring of 2019. The scholarships are provided by the Kootenai Electric Trust/Operation Round Up®. George & Dorothy Marsden Scholarship Fund $30,000, renewable Feb-March The George and Dorothy Marsden Scholarship Fund was established by Mrs. Marsden to help academically promising students from the Inland Northwest maximize their potential at the world’s best colleges and universities.
Heartflite  $1,000 Feb Presented on behalf of ALC Services, Inc. and Associated Logging Contractors, Inc. of Idaho to a worthy student planning to pursue higher education and going into the medical field. 
Dave Kludt-ALC Natural Resource $1,000 Feb To be eligible, the student must demonstrate that they are related to an ALC Member and planning to attend college or technical school in a field of study that will return them to work in the natural resource arena.

Children of county employees working more than 20 hours per week and the children and grandchildren of county elected officials by the Idaho Association of Counties Scholarship Fund on behalf of the members of the IAC. Idaho State Broadcasters 2, $1,000 March Each year ISBA funds at least two $1,000 general scholarships and the Wayne C. Cornils Memorial Scholarship for less advantaged students attending Idaho schools and preparing for a career in broadcasting. Such careers could include: Business Administration, Sales, Journalism, Engineering.

Jack T. Riggs MD Leadership 5 @ $1,000 each March The Dr. Riggs Leadership Scholarship was created by The Salvation Army Kroc Center Executive Staff and Advisory Board to honor Jack T. Riggs, M.D. for a lifetime of leadership excellence and to acknowledge and reward a high school senior for exhibiting leadership traits and capabilities.

There are several $1,000 scholarships awarded each year. Past scholarships have been awarded from STCU, North Idaho Higher Education Consortium, and Coleman Engineering/Welch Comer, Northwest Specialty Hospital, Mountain West Bank, and the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. Applicant must be a senior from either CHS, LCHS, Bridge, CDA Charter, Venture, or a senior of a CDA Chamber member. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Must demonstrate experience working with a business or industry either in a job or through volunteering, mentoring, job shadowing, internships and/or senior projects.

NIBCA Professional Women in Building $1,000 April The North Idaho Building Contractors Association (NIBCA), Professional Women in Building Council is offering a $1,000 scholarship to someone entering a building-related field at any Idaho college. Horatio Alger Scholarship funded by Duane & Lola Hagadone $7,000 April Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at the University of Idaho, LCSC or start studies at NIC with the intent to transfer to U of I or LCSC. Keep essay under 250 words. Essay topic is “The Impact of Underage Drinking”; students are encouraged to express their opinions on how underage drinking affects high school students and how we can better educate our youth. Contest winner will receive a $250 academic scholarship to NIC.
